The Animal Wellness Center of Marin is excited to be providing an integrative approach to your pets health care. With the only Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner's (CCRP) in Marin and San Francisco Counties AND the only Certified Veterinary Pain Practitioner (CVPP), Physical Rehabilitation, Acupuncture, Chiropractic, and Pain Management strategies are available for your pet. If your pet has trouble with mobility, recovering from a surgery or injury (orthopedic and neurologic), needing general conditioning and strengthening, weight loss, or maintaining conditioning for performance events; we can help.
With so many pets in the United States living longer and healthier lives, physical rehabilitation and pain management services are in growing demand for general veterinary hospitals. Providing these sought after services requires the expertise of trained specialists and is often associated with expensive specialized equipment.
Our facility has been designed with care for animals with special needs and disabilities. We have invested in textured flooring to provide increased stability and comfort for those pets with mobility challenges and a special entrance is available for animals in mobility carts. Pets participating in hydrotherapy or therapeutic exercise have only a short walk to the spacious fitness room which houses specialized rehabilitation equipment to help provide the most effective therapies. We also have separate rooms for cool down (thermal), manual therapy (massage), or LASER therapy.
Pets receiving acupuncture, integrative therapies and chiropractic can relax in the dedicated holistic intake room furthest away from the fitness room. Our holistic practitioner will work closely with you to develop the most successful complementary medicine program for your pet.
