What to Expect
Your first appointment will last approximately 1 1/2 hour. Initial consultations include a thorough discussion of your pet's mobility needs and challenges, pain assessment, dietary intake, complete functional and movement evaluation, in-house therapeutic exercise evaluation (modalities chosen vary from patient to patient) and "Homework" plan. For pets starting Hydrotherapy or Laser treatments the same day, please plan to have your pet stay for a few hours. We want to allow your pet time to adjust to a new environment and not rush through treatments.
All "Homework" is posted on the Therapeutic Exercise page for further reference and you will receive customized videos of your pet performing selected exercises. Please reference your written homework sheet for individualized repetitions and duration.
COVID-19 Procedures: Until further notice, all appointments will be curbside. We will have a detailed discussion with you curbside (weather permitting) gathering additional information not received on the survey form and answering any additional questions you may have. Then we will escort your pet to the evaluation room where the veterinarian will examine your pet's health condition and physical rehabilitation assessments will take place. Next, you will receive a phone call to discuss therapeutic treatment options and the recommended plan.

Client and Patient Information Survey
Our goal is to help you make a collaborative and informed decision about your pet's physical rehabilitation experience. Please take the time to fill out the NEW CLIENT QUESTIONNAIRE. The information provided in this form is greatly appreciated and will expedite your initial consult. This will allow for more time for the rehab exam and any questions you may have.
For Pet Parents
Evaluations in your regular veterinary hospital are by appointment only and require prior authorization from your family veterinarian. House calls are not available. Please contact Kristen via e-mail at [email protected]
For Veterinarians
Referrals for physical rehabilitation may be done through a patients primary care veterinarian or the patient's owners (we prefer a referral from a veterinarian). All patients will be medically evaluated by a veterinarian in order to establish a valid client-patient relationship. Veterinarian's are present to quickly assist with any changes to a pet's pain management program as it relates to physical rehabilitation. This examination is no substitute for regular veterinary care. All medical recommendations, evaluations and therapies recommended will be communicated to primary care provider's on a regular basis in order to maintain continuity of care.
